Many states find themselves delivering statewide assessments in paper and computer modes, confronting the impact of switching testing providers, changing interfaces, adding tools and functionality, and/or adding item types. This session will explore comparability in these contexts; addressing questions including when comparability studies should be done, appropriate designs for a comparability study, peer review requirements, and psychometrics.
