Each year, over fifty thousand students spanning elementary through university ages participate in short-duration experiential learning programs that focus on the development of leadership and life success skills. For program accreditation purposes, standards and assessments have been instituted and piloted this spring. Presenters will talk about the development of a research-based standards framework, rating scale, and non-intrusive ratings of performance-based classroom assessment. The results of the pilot test and usability studies will be presented, and the psychometric challenges will be discussed, as will next steps and future directions for the program.
