The consortia are funded and charged with test development that will need to be completed by September 30, 2014.  So what happens in October 2014 when the official grant funding ends? This session will be an opportunity for states to learn about the sustainability plans developed by PARCC, Smarter Balanced, and one of the non-consortia states that they may use to implement the new assessment in 2014-2015. The session is intended to help states think about how to make decisions for the administration, scoring, reporting, technology readiness, and continued item/test development from the fall of 2014 and beyond.

This session will open with a brief description of the six consortia assessments, followed by presentations from PARCC, Smarter Balanced, and a non-consortia state. After a discussion between the moderator and the panelists, the session will conclude with a summary from a discussant. The session will also allow for audience questions.
